New Product Introduction
“SECOND GENERATION TO-8 OSCILLATORS” MLTO-Series“TO-8” low noise YIG-Tuned Oscillators covering up to 13 GHz: Micro Lambda Wireless, Inc. announces the production release of second generation TO-8 PC Board compatible YIG-Tuned oscillators covering 2 to 13 GHz. Utilizing new permanent magnets and SiGe transistors, these units are available in a standard package size of .500” tall. All units have a .675” diameter cylinder package. They provide +10 dBm power output levels and operate over the 0 to +65 C commercial temperature ranges. Extended temperature models to +85 C are available for all models. Phase noise performance of -98 to -100 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset and -123 to -128 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset are guaranteed for all model types depending on frequency Applications include Analyzers, Generators, Receivers, and Frequency Synthesizers. pdf

- Effective immediately at no additional cost, the HAMEG 1 GHz Spectrum Analyzers HMS1000/1010 are also available with a RBW (Resolution Bandwidth) of 100Hz, improving the DANL (Displayed Average Noise Level) as a result. The specifications of the 1GHz and the 3GHz instruments now only differ by the input frequency range. Owners of older instruments don’t miss out either; they can upgrade their instruments to the new firmware version so they will equal new instruments as far as the parameters are concerned.

- A new Reference for the entry into Spectrum Analysis … Owing to their slogan ‘Great Value in Test & Measurement’  HAMEG present the new HMS1000E which is available from stock (Item Number 22-1000-E000). It is the proper successor to the HM5510. It is an economy version based on the modern platform of the HMS series, with considerably more functions (RBW, VBW, markers…) than its predecessor.

Micro Lambda Wireless Inc. MLBF-Series CE Certified !
The MLBF-Series Bench test filters are ideal for production test sets, laboratory tests and test equipment racks where filtering of microwave signals is essential. These bench top filter assemblies provide either Bandpass or Bandreject (notch) filter types depending on application. Frequency coverage is dependent on which production filter type is chosen. Frequency coverage for Bandpass models range from 500 MHz to 50 GHz while the Bandreject models cover 500 MHz to 20 GHz. Each bench top filter assembly consists of a YIG-Tuned filter chosen by the user, Heat sink, compensated driver, power supply, cooling fans, keyboard, display, USB interface, Ethernet interface and a manual tuning knob. Components are housed in a 10” wide, 4” height, 13” deep enclosure with mounting feet and handle.

MCL Offers Energy Efficient Options for Outdoor TWTAs
MCL’s MT3400 and MT4400 Outdoor TWT Amplifiers have already been described as reliable, rugged, and economical solutions for satellite uplink applications. You can now add “energy efficient” to that list. The MT3400 is available with a 400W linear TWT, drawing 1100 Watts as opposed to 1500 Watts, while the MT4400 offers a 750W linear TWT, drawing 2000 Watts versus 2400 Watts. These new TWT options are only offered in Ku-band at this time. Both of these state-of-the-art amplifiers are available for C-, X-, Ku-, and DBS-band applications and include such features as rugged construction for extreme environments, software communications configuration for both remote and computer interfaces, continuous attenuator adjustment shown in dB, auto power control and status, and much more. The MT3400 and MT4400 can also be customized to include options such as an internal L-band block upconverter, an internal linearizer, Ethernet interface, option at 60°C, or a hand-held or remote controller. Redundancy can be achieved through 1:1, 1:2, or phase combined systems. For more information on the MT3400 or MT4400 product line, please contact Air-Parts, +31(0)172422455

Low Noise Millimeter-Wave Broadband Mixer Subsystem for EW/ECM/ELINT Requirements

MITEQ’s new Model SYS0216N01R-LNB millimeter-wave dual-channel block converter covers two bands over 18 to 40 GHz. One channel converts 18 to 26 GHz down to an 8 to 16 GHz output, and the second converts 26 to 40 GHz down to a 2 to 16 GHz output. This compact 2 ½” x 3” unit is shown above, and with optional local oscillators, this unit is now configured as a low noise block converter (LNB). The converter is ideal for broadband millimeter-wave receivers such as for EW/ECM/ELINT requirements or test equipment frequency extension. The unit employs LO multipliers to facilitate the use of lower frequency microwave LO’s. This model is designed for military environments.

Broadband Power Amplifier Family
A series of 6-8, 12-18 and 8-18 GHz amplifiers are introduced by MITEQ Inc., covering 30 dBm to 34 dBm. The Model AMF-8B-08001800-40-33P delivers over 33 dBm of power over full band of 8-18 GHz, with over 40 dB gain and ±2.5 dB flatness. Noise figure is less than 4 dB, port VSWR is less than 2:1, and it draws about 3A from a single +12 to +15V DC supply. The housing has a footprint of only 3” by 1.9” and 0.9” high with SMA connectors. Heatsink and other control features are also available as options.

[The MSO for the broader market ...]
The highly successful HMO series have been extended. While, up until now, only instruments from 250…350MHz were offered at prices above € 3,000, HAMEG has also addressed the range from 70…200MHz.
Eight new oscilloscopes have been been presented in March 2011. The 4 channel, 70 and 100MHz instruments is available since the end of May, with the other models to follow in July. In terms of the operation and the front panel interface, the new instruments hardly differ from the existing HMO series products. A Component Tester was added which is highly appreciated in this class. Using the known option HO3508 allows for eight digital channels to be analyzed. The I2C, SPI and UART/RS-232 trigger and decode option HOO11 (licence key) is new; in the first year of introduction, it will be delivered with the instruments free of charge.
Hence even with the 2 channel instrument, an I2C, SSPI and UART/RS-232 signal can be analyzed without any additional accessories.
For the 3-wire SPI bus the 2 channel instrument requires just one additional probe for the external trigger input.
The new HMO’s are only 140 mm deep and may be stacked – as to be expected – on every other HAMEG instrument.

Obsolescence announcement !!
After 40 years in production, Kaman Precision Products is announcing the obsolescence of the KD-2300 product. Many circumstances have contributed to this decision, component obsolescence being the biggest driver. The replacement product, the KD-2306, has been in production since 2007 and has proven to be a very worthy improvement of what was certainly the benchmark for all non-contact inductive displacement sensors. Key dates to remember are: Effective immediately, Kaman will no longer sell the KD-2300 into new applications. December 31, 2011, all sales of the KD-2300 will cease. December 31, 2014, Kaman will no longer support the KD-2300 product with service/repair. The new version of the old benchmark offers higher gain voltage output, as well as 4-20 mA output. It is housed in a convenient DIN rail mount enclosure and is CE marked as well as being RoHS compliant. The KD-2306 is offered with all the sensor models that were available with the KD-2300.
