Satellite & Telecommunications

Since 1969, and thousands of installations worldwide, MITEQ is a proven and recognized leader in the Telecommunications Industry. Serving both the Military and Commercial Markets, MITEQ designs and manufactures standard and customized satellite communication equipment. MITEQ’s SATCOM product line includes Frequency Converters, Translators, Redundant Switchover Units, Amplifier Systems, Video Products, INMARSAT Products, Equalizer Products, Uplink Power Control Products, Power Amplifiers and Custom Communication Equipment.
MITEQ manufactures an extensive line of Satellite Communication Up and Down Frequency Converters that include Block Fixed Tuned Frequency Converters, Synthesized Tunable Frequency Converters, Multiband Frequency Converters and Discrete Frequency Converters for both the Commercial and Military Markets. These SATCOM Upconverters and Downconverters are available as single, 1:1 and 1:2 redundant systems that ensure continuous operation. MITEQ’s line of Upconverters and Downconverters cover C, DBS, Ka, Ku, L, S and X Frequency Communication Band’s. By using MITEQ’s discrete line of Ultra-Wideband, Ultra-Broadband and Multiband Converter products you can cover several of these frequency ranges at once. Both indoor rack mounted or ruggedized outdoor antenna mounted units are available with a host of options.

MITEQ’s BR Series Beacon Receiver is a versatile receiver designed to lock onto a CW or modulated carrier and provide accurate and reliable relative power measurement indicators for either antenna positioning or uplink power control applications. The BR-L operates in the L-Band and accepts a 940-2150 MHz signal. The outputs of the beacon receiver are analog and digital indicators of power measured at the input of the beacon receiver. The beacon receiver fits neatly into a single EIA standard rack height (1.75 inches). The rich feature set of controls and indicators are easily accessible via in intuitive operating environment. The receiver can be setup completely from the front panel or over a remote bus via a host computer. There are 32 memory locations where various setups can be stored and recalled easily. Also, a log is continuously updated with time-stamped records of alarm activity.

The experienced technical and marketing staff at dBm specializes in RF link impairment emulation for terrestrial and satellite wireless systems. Their link emulation products have been used in virtually every major satellite system developed since the early 1990s. dBm develops and manufactures test equipment and subsystems for the RF marketplace, including wireless telecommunications, satellite systems, and military applications.
dBm’s frequency converter models cover virtually any band up to 30 GHz. They are available as block converters, synthesized broadband converters, and RF to baseband converters. Instantaneous bandwidth is typically 100 MHz in both up and down conversions. Some standard frequency bands are 800 – 2700 MHz, 870 – 1750 MHz, and ultra-broadband 400 MHz – 18 GHz with IF frequencies of 70 MHz or 140 MHz.. Applications Cellular/PCS test systems SATCOM Mobile phone chipset emulation Exciters Signal analyzers Available Features IEEE-488.2, and TCP/IP control Resolution to 1 Hz Internal and external reference source Internal or external local oscillators UHF through millimeter band.

The SLE700 can be configured with 1, 2, or 4 channels. The bandwidth of each channel is 45 MHz, and the nominal center frequency can be 70 MHz or 140 MHz. Parameters can be set to fixed values in Static mode, or continuously changed in real time in Dynamic mode without any phase discontinuities. Ephemeris data files are downloaded via an ethernet connection and stored internally in solid state memory. These dynamic files can have playback rates from 1 Hz to 1000 Hz, and can be run forward, reverse, continuously looped, or single stepped. Remote control can be accomplished by making calls from your test software, or by using the SleControl application program provided with the instrument. This application provides control of all SLE functions, as well as manipulation of the dynamic data files.
Applications: Satellite ground equipment testing, Payload testing, Satellite system integration test beds.
Available Features: Static and Dynamic operation Phase continuous delay changes Ephemeris data generation using SATGEN.
