GW Instek: Introduction of the GPT-15012 Safety Tester

Reliable measurements and correct interpretation are essential when testing high-voltage components. In practice, however, there is often still room for improvement when it comes to carrying out measurements with test equipment as effectively as possible.

The training courses offered by the Haefely Training Center have been developed to support professionals in this area. They cover both theoretical knowledge and practical application, providing insight into measurement principles as well as the correct use of equipment. With more than 100 years of experience in high-voltage technology, Haefely is recognized worldwide for its expertise in this field.

What can you expect?

The training courses are designed for engineers, operators and other professionals working with high-voltage measurements and test equipment. During the courses, you will learn about:

• the basic principles of high-voltage testing and relevant IEC standards
• how to correctly set up and perform measurements
• how to interpret measurement results
• practical work with test setups and measuring equipment

2026 training program

In 2026, the following training courses will be organized, among others:

• 19–20 May | impulse testing
• 2–3 June | partial discharge (PD)
• 16–17 June | transformer testing in the lab (DTTS)
• 21–22 September | transformer testing on-site

All training courses take place at the Haefely Training Center in Basel, Switzerland. Group sizes are deliberately kept small, with 4–8 participants, to ensure maximum interaction and learning outcomes.

Practical information

• duration: generally 2 days
• language: English
• includes practical demonstrations with test installations
• certificate upon successful completion
